*Nakamura was a Kaga maki-e master, from a family of lacquer artisans. Nakamura has exhibited his work at the Nitten several times. He received several awards for his work at the Nichigei (Nihon University College of Art) exhibition: in 1979 the Great Japan Flower Arrangement Award, the following year the Jury Encouragement Award, in 1984 the Japan Women’s Newspaper award.
